Here we are at the last round of pre-orders of 2023! We haven’t yet taken stock and made an accurate calculation but hands down we can already tell you that this was the year with the most releases in the history of the label. Having a pace like this is truly an incredible sacrifice, a real death-race… needless to add that we’ll do everything to keep a similar if not higher standard for next year too… As you have seen, this has been a year full of surprises, and next it won’t be any different: consider that we already have more than 15 releases ready to be sent into production and at least as many in progress. But let’s get back to us, after a November completely dedicated to super-speeds and the most aberrant noise/grind extremism, this month we are completely focused on some 80’s hardcore classics (still keeping things on ultra-fast blasting territories in most cases), respectively from Mexico, UK and USA. After being in the works for years, we are pleased to announce a series of 3 x separate LP’s that reconstruct the total discography of Mexico’s chaospunk legends SS-20 at the best possible sonic quality, each enriched with a lot of bonus material, deluxe booklets and in short everything that you expect from F.O.A.D. editions. In detail they are: “Secta suicida siglo 20” LP, “Ojos infantiles” LP and “Cadaver exquisito” LP. Moving to a completely different zone, we fly over the UK with an essential collection from a criminally underrated band, ATAVISTIC! Completely bewitched by the beauty of their demotape “From within” (1986), we decided to put together a collection that includes that incredible demo restored to levels like you’ve never heard it before, the singles, and all their compilation tracks. This double LP anthology is titled “Retrospective – From within to clear-cut conscience”. And last but not least, we are proud to announce the reissue of a F.O.A.D. classic: the ultra-complete discography of Boston’s SIEGE, pioneers of all that is fast and extreme in hardcore. This special edition adds a previously unreleased version of “Grim Reaper” with Ben Barnett of Dropdead on guitar (different from the one included in our 2019 edition) and has a restyled packaging with deluxe gatefold jacket (red hot foil logo and 3D UV spot lac print) and extended booklet. After a month entirely dedicated to 80s hardcore punk, with the big surprise that was given by the start of our INDIGESTI reissue plan, as announced – for this November 2023 we are radically changing course. Over the years it has become a bit of a tradition for one of the two end year months to be focused on the most complete aural extermination, with a string of noisecore releases. And that’s what we’re about to do with this new round of pre-orders.

There’s noisecore, but also old school grindcore and powerviolence. After years of work (you can see it from the catalog numbers which are far behind) we are pleased to be able to bring to light a very detailed 2002-2014 discography of the US powerhouse SIDETRACKED, with over 200 songs.

Also from SIDETRACKED, we can finally also announce their split LP with ISOLATION AS CULT, a monster-unit of noise/grind/punk extremism (180 songs on this split!) spawned by the insane joint venture of GTB (Cripple Bastards) and HOD (Toxic Basement Studio). And to stay at unprecedented levels of eardrum annihilation, we also have the brand new 12″ by SISSY SPACEK, a US noise/grind terror squad driven by blast beats at impossible speeds (special lineup with Sulfuric Cautery drummer!). On the last batch of F.O.A.D. releases – entirely dedicated to Japanese hardcore thrash – we left saying: “the next month will be 100% hardcore, with 4 incredible releases. We can’t say much yet but among the names there is a true giant of Italian HC that for a very long time has been kept frozen without any chance of being reissued. Stay tuned because it’s a sensational surprise!” And here we are finally revealing that giant: F.O.A.D. Records is proud to announce a teamwork with Italy’s Hardcore legends INDIGESTI to reissue their entire 80’s discography on vinyl! This will include the following 3 titles: “Sguardo realtà 1982-83” Gatefold 2xLP / “Osservati dall’inganno” Gatefold LP / “Live in Lübeck, 02.09.1987″ Gatefold LP+7”. INDIGESTI has been one of the earliest and most important bands in the first wave of Italian Hardcore through the legendary “furious years” and also one of the first to tour the States and Europe back then. These top quality reissues will feature loads of exclusive, unreleased extras and massive booklets with interviews, photos, flyers, original artworks and more!! So this month we’re starting with the first of these 3 gems: INDIGESTI “Sguardo realtà 1982-1983” 2xLP (including 1 LP full of extra unreleased sessions). In conjunction with this we picked another Italian Hardcore masterpiece: “É arrivato Ah Pook” LP, the amazing debut demo (1986) by CONTROPOTERE, for the first time on vinyl. Then, by popular demand, we decided that in our catalog there must always be NERORGASMO‘s “Passione nera 1985-1993” 2xLP discography and so here we go with a new version, this time with a special diehard edition in black on white splatter vinyl. And last but not least, we completely change country to fly to another mecca of 80s Hardcore… New York!! We promised you more chapters in the reissue of the entire Unsound Music catalogue, and here we are with the long awaited SATAN’S CHEERLEADERS “What the hell” total discography! Unique hardcore, fast, nervous and highly original. Double LP with bonus CD compiling the entire discography, including two demos never released until now.

Another dream-come-true on F.O.A.D.! Indigesti, the roots of Italian hardcore, one of the most iconic and original bands out of Italy’s furious punk scene of the ’80s. This double LP anthology is the ultimate, most comprehensive collection of the band’s early recordings compiling their “Sguardo realtà” demo sessions (1982-83), split 7″ with Wretched (1982), studio outtakes + a full bonus LP of mostly never-before-heard recordings (1982-1983) some even featuring members of Wretched and Crash Box. One session ends with Daniele (before joining Wretched) jamming some new riffs that would later end on “Libero di vivere, libero di morire” even if they were originally written for Indigesti.. All restored and mastered straight from 1/4″ reels and archival tapes of the band that have never seen the light of day until now.. 63 SONGS of rapid, powerful HARDCORE! Official reissue of CONTROPOTERE’s iconic debut demotape (1986) for the first time on vinyl, transferred from the original studio reels and specially remastered and cut at 45rpm for the loudest sonic impact. Intense and highly original hardcore based in Napoli, combining the furious energy of the first wave of Italian HC punk with visionary vibes, a great musicianship and the incredible voice of Lucia, partly pioneering the choice of sound that bands like Nausea NYC would consolidate years later, generating much wider popularity.

After Insanity Defense and Fatal Vision this is the 3rd chapter, in F.O.A.D.’s mission to reissue the entire Unsound Music catalog on vinyl. LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK HARDCORE! Complete SC recordings 1982-1986 for the first time on vinyl, showing the band’s progression from rabid, frantic 2-chords HC to a more evolved, bizarre yet explosive approach.

Lost and found recordings made at Studio Zig in 1989, originally planned to be NIGA-ROBO’s first single but buried to this day due to the rapid disbandment of that line-up… Fast, hard-moshing Thrash rooted in furious Japanese Hardcore!! INZEST “Violence not words” LP (F.O.A.D. 196) NEW EDITION!

By popular demand we have decided to make this fast thrash classic available again.. New edition with different sleeve and vinyl colors, pressed from a way better lacquer cutting than the 1st edition. Osaka Thrash-core inferno!! Reissue of their cult flexi disc “Another religion another violence” (1987) and rare “Motive of genocide” Demotape (1988). These shortly lived skullcrushers were responsible for some of the fastest and most furious Japanese Hardcore blended with mad thrashing riffs and vitriolic screams. Another obscure Japanese Thrash gem unearthed.. Blasting Thrash-core force from Tokyo! Official reissue of the band’s debut demotape recorded in 1989, sourced from the studio master tape. Grind infused Hardcore delivered with unmatchable Japanese HC energy and rage, often speeding things up with furious blast beats! Includes a fanzine styled booklet collecting a lot of rare gig flyers, photos, scans of the original cassette. Recommended to fans of “What’s the truth?”-era S.O.B., ROSEROSE, GENOA and SATANIC HELL SLAUGHTER.

GIGATIC KHMER “A fetus – Demo 1989” LP (F.O.A.D. 314)

Official reissue of the band’s only demotape (1989) remastered from the best sounding source available after an accurate selection approved by the band. GIGATIC KHMER is a hidden gem of tight, progressive Thrash blended with a taste of ’80s Crossover HC and a solid guitar work that holds the banner of Japanese Metal high! Formed in 1988 in the Saitama Prefecture, G.K. are only known for their split flexi disc with Hellchild (1990) and this self-released demo. They often performed live at the cult “Thrash live in savagery” events managed by members of Genoa, sharing stage with bands like Hellchild, Shellshock, Warpigs, 666, Des-Poz and Excrow. Members of G.K. also played in Shellshock, Lawshed and Cocobat. Some early Shellshock songs were originally written by GIGATIC KHMER.

GIGATIC KHMER “A fetus – Demo 1989” LP (F.O.A.D. 314)

Official reissue of the band’s only demotape (1989) remastered from the best sounding source available after an accurate selection approved by the band. GIGATIC KHMER is a hidden gem of tight, progressive Thrash blended with a taste of ’80s Crossover HC and a solid guitar work that holds the banner of Japanese Metal high! Formed in 1988 in the Saitama Prefecture, G.K. are only known for their split flexi disc with Hellchild (1990) and this self-released demo. They often performed live at the cult “Thrash live in savagery” events managed by members of Genoa, sharing stage with bands like Hellchild, Shellshock, Warpigs, 666, Des-Poz and Excrow. Members of G.K. also played in Shellshock, Lawshed and Cocobat. Some early Shellshock songs were originally written by GIGATIC KHMER.
