Finally it’s time to unleash the last batch of F.O.A.D. releases for 2023. In the past twelve months we managed to put out 52 RELEASES (44 on vinyl, 3 on CD, 4 on MC and 1 book)!!! This is our all-time highest result, exceeding by far all our expectations. We look forward to the next year as a chance to improve ourselves and set the bar higher, even if it will surely be a very difficult goal, considering the insane pace we kept! Now back to the records…
As told before, this month was totally dedicated to some hardcore classics. We got into the most dangerous streets of DF, Mexico, to resurrect the complete recordings of SS-20, one of the most iconic and genuine female fronted Latin American bands ever, channeled into three LPs filled with raw, noisy and snotty punk hardcore. Then we got into ultra-fast territories with Atavistic, an often forgotten Britcore gem, with a double LP set which gathers their early recordings, a full throttle blasting galore of British brutality. Last but not least, we released a new version of Siege discography. There is not much to say
about this.. one of the most reverred and important extreme records of all time, the list of bands influenced by them is endless. The definition of “classic”.

All pre-orders have been sent out (along with tracking-numbers notifications), we are just finishing the last wholesale orders. As always we want to sincerely thank those who have continued to support us
through the years and also those who have recently approached our label, those who have helped us by providing useful material, contacts or even simply constructive advice. And of course all the bands past and present who let us release their music!

Now more detail on each of this month’s releases….:

Here we are at the last round of pre-orders of 2023! We haven’t yet taken stock and made an accurate calculation but hands down we can already tell you that this was the year with the most releases in the history of the label. Having a pace like this is truly an incredible sacrifice, a real death-race… needless to add that we’ll do everything to keep a similar if not higher standard for next year too… As you have seen, this has been a year full of surprises, and next it won’t be any different: consider that we already have more than 15 releases ready to be sent into production and at least as many in progress. But let’s get back to us, after a November completely dedicated to super-speeds and the most aberrant noise/grind extremism, this month we are completely focused on some 80’s hardcore classics (still keeping things on ultra-fast blasting territories in most cases), respectively from Mexico, UK and USA. After being in the works for years, we are pleased to announce a series of 3 x separate LP’s that reconstruct the total discography of Mexico’s chaospunk legends SS-20 at the best possible sonic quality, each enriched with a lot of bonus material, deluxe booklets and in short everything that you expect from F.O.A.D. editions. In detail they are: “Secta suicida siglo 20” LP, “Ojos infantiles” LP and “Cadaver exquisito” LP. Moving to a completely different zone, we fly over the UK with an essential collection from a criminally underrated band, ATAVISTIC! Completely bewitched by the beauty of their demotape “From within” (1986), we decided to put together a collection that includes that incredible demo restored to levels like you’ve never heard it before, the singles, and all their compilation tracks. This double LP anthology is titled “Retrospective – From within to clear-cut conscience”. And last but not least, we are proud to announce the reissue of a F.O.A.D. classic: the ultra-complete discography of Boston’s SIEGE, pioneers of all that is fast and extreme in hardcore. This special edition adds a previously unreleased version of “Grim Reaper” with Ben Barnett of Dropdead on guitar (different from the one included in our 2019 edition) and has a restyled packaging with deluxe gatefold jacket (red hot foil logo and 3D UV spot lac print) and extended booklet. So to recap: SS-20 “Secta suicida siglo 20” LP, SS-20 “Ojos infantiles” LP, SS-20 “Cadaver exquisito” LP, ATAVISTIC “Retrospective: from within to clear-cut conscience” 2xLP and SIEGE “Drop dead – Complete discography” gatefold 2xLP (new edition!) are all available for pre-order via www.scareystore.com

Watch out because you can also find aspecial bundleat a truly discounted price for those who want to grab all 3 x SS-20 LP’s (diehard edition) together. Our usual recommendations are: act fast if you want to catch the diehard editions in splatter/colored vinyl, avoid to bomb us with useless questions or anxious requests, it’s December and the amount of orders to cope with will be insane. The release date has been set for December 20th, but consider that delivery times during the Xmas mess are unpredictable and sometimes slow. Last thing: starting from now we have also applied a 20% discount on most of the previous F.O.A.D. releases and on all test pressings, a good chance to make combined orders and Xmas/end-year gifts!

The wait is over and two of the most anticipated and announcedF.O.A.D.releases since we started it all are finally ready to ship. Yes,INSECT WARFARE“Entomological siege 2004/2009” Boxset (3xLP+DVD and 2xCD+DVD) andSIEGE“Drop dead” 2xLP gatefold are out now!! The amount of preorders that we received for these has been unreal, soplease be patient, we usually send all orders on the exact date that we release them but in this case it will take at least 2-3 extra weeks to get it all sorted out. Consider the fact that we have a limitation on the number of packages that we can ship daily because we have repeatedly clogged the local postal warehouses with indescribable quantities of packages and Mbags, so we have to stick to a certain number of units to be mailed daily. This is is slowing things down a bit, but we’re doing our best to be as quick as possible. Some orders have been already sent in the last few days, some are going out soon. For any enquiries, feel free to email us but once again:be patient.

The diehard boxset versions ofINSECT WARFARE(colored vinyl sets + slipmat or patch) have been completely sold out on preorder. We still have the black vinyl version that has the same audio and visual contents. And the stunning 2xCD+DVD box of course.

As forSIEGE, we still have a handful of copies of the diehard splatter versions (approx 20 of each) so don’t miss the chance, be fast!
