Posted in Asbestos, Gigatic Khmer, Inzest, Niga-Robo, Releases, Unhuman Society Death on September 6th, 2023 by foadmaster2022

After an extremely intense season, between summer festivals and an avalanche of releases that have kept us positively engaged at truly unparalleled levels, we are thrilled to be back to base ready to announce a new bombardment consisting of 5 vinyl thrash-grenades .. It’s useless now say it, the Japanese Metal/Punk formula in conspiracy with F.O.A.D. Records is always a winning card, by now we have lost count of the 100+ F.O.A.D. works dedicated to the most obscure and hard-to-find bands from the remote niches of this country so close to our hearts. And what we’re about to introduce for this month is exactly the sum of it all: 5 little treasures of Japanese Hardcore/Thrash ranging from 1987 to 1996.. needless to say, a golden era! Starting from the best known name, we’re stoked to announce the first time on vinyl of “Agonized cry”, the second album (1996) of the mighty ASBESTOS, then by popular demand we offer you a new version of “Violence not words” – the discography of INZEST, ultra-hardcore at lightning speed, and moving on to the most obscure thrash yet to be discovered, three rare gems from our crypts of rare demos and unreleased recordings: NIGA-ROBO 2×7″, UNHUMAN SOCIETY DEATH with their only demo 1989 on LP and GIGATIC KHMER, another fantastic and worthwhile thrash demotape to be played endlessly.

So to summarize: ASBESTOS “Agonized cry” 2xLP, NIGA-ROBO “Bloody history of family” 2×7″EP, INZEST “Violence not words” LP (new edition), UNHUMAN SOCIETY DEATH “Demo 1989” LP and GIGATIC KHMER “A fetus – Demo 1989” LP are available for pre-order. We will start shipping from September 20th 2023. As usual our recommendations are: 1) these are very limited titles, so if you want to secure the diehard versions don’t think twice.. act fast! As many of you asked for it, we have also made available a ltd. bundle with colored versions of all 5 at a discounted price, don’t miss out… 2) we will do everything possible to start shipping on the announced release date but please don’t stress us with constant requests on when we ship, tracking, changes of address or replacements of items, this is the sort of stuff that slows us down and really gives us nightmares, be patient and we’ll do everything to satisfy you as quickly as humanly possible. And if this month is dedicated to maniacs of Japanese Hardcore Thrash – also paying homage from the F.O.A.D. team to the myth of Sakevi (RIP),  get ready because on the next one we will stay in the Hardcore field, with some classics of intergalactic weight that we can’t wait to reveal!!

More in detail on this month’s 5 x rage-in-hell thrashers:

ASBESTOS “Agonized cry” 2xLP (F.O.A.D. 308)

The second full length of these pioneering Tokyo crusties for the first time on vinyl!  Originally released on CD only by Decontrol records in 1996 and never reissued to this day.. Gloomy, metallic hardcore blended with a strong crustpunk imprint.. if you enjoyed their classic debut “…the final solution” (also reissued by F.O.A.D. one year ago), “Agonized cry” picked up where they left off adding an even darker edge and adding some heavy Amebix/Antisect influences.. Viciously addictive riffs and vitriolic vocals alternating their trademark hoarse tones with full strength shouts. 14 SONGS!  Double LP with OBI strip and insert with lyrics and original artworks. Watch the trailer HERE

Available in the following versions:

Diehard white/black splatter vinyl limited to 150 copies

Solid black vinyl limited to 250 copies

NIGA-ROBO “Bloody history of family” 2×7″EP (F.O.A.D. 307)

Pioneering Sapporo City Thrash-Hardcore delivered by veterans of the local Metal/Punk scene (members of Satanic Hell Slaughter, No More Pain, Fast Draw etc..). Lost and found recordings made at Studio Zig in 1989, originally planned to be NIGA-ROBO’s first single but buried to this day due to the rapid disbandment of that line-up… Fast, hard-moshing Thrash rooted in furious Japanese Hardcore!! Double EP housed in a 12 page 7”x7” booklet with lyrics, drawings, photos and liner notes. Watch the trailer HERE

Available in the following versions:

Diehard blood red vinyl limited to 150 copies

Solid black vinyl limited to 250 copies

INZEST “Violence not words” LP (F.O.A.D. 196) NEW EDITION!

By popular demand we have decided to make this fast thrash classic available again.. New edition with different sleeve and vinyl colors, pressed from a way better lacquer cutting than the 1st edition.  Osaka Thrash-core inferno!! Reissue of their cult flexi disc “Another religion another violence” (1987) and rare “Motive of genocide” Demotape (1988). These shortly lived skullcrushers were responsible for some of the fastest and most furious Japanese Hardcore blended with mad thrashing riffs and vitriolic screams. If you’re possessed by the abuse of speed and aggression of bands like S.O.B., Outo, Gudon, Brain Death, Googolplex, Systematic Death etc. you can’t go wrong with this, just put this record up and you’ll be smashed by a bloodshed of manic fast ferocity!  One sided LP with silk-screened artwork on the b-side, OBI strip and insert with rare photos + scans from the EP and demotape.  Watch the trailer HERE

UNHUMAN SOCIETY DEATH “Demo 1989” LP (F.O.A.D. 313)

Another obscure Japanese Thrash gem unearthed.. Blasting Thrash-core force from Tokyo!  Official reissue of the band’s debut demotape recorded in 1989, sourced from the studio master tape. Grind infused Hardcore delivered with unmatchable Japanese HC energy and rage, often speeding things up with furious blast beats! Includes a fanzine styled booklet collecting a lot of rare gig flyers, photos, scans of the original cassette. Recommended to fans of “What’s the truth?”-era S.O.B., ROSEROSE, GENOA and SATANIC HELL SLAUGHTER.

Diehard mixed blue/yellow vinyl limited to 150 copies

GIGATIC KHMER “A fetus – Demo 1989” LP (F.O.A.D. 314)

Official reissue of the band’s only demotape (1989) remastered from the best sounding source available after an accurate selection approved by the band. GIGATIC KHMER is a hidden gem of tight, progressive Thrash blended with a taste of ’80s Crossover HC and a solid guitar work that holds the banner of Japanese Metal high! Formed in 1988 in the Saitama Prefecture, G.K. are only known for their split flexi disc with Hellchild (1990) and this self-released demo. They often performed live at the cult “Thrash live in savagery” events managed by members of Genoa, sharing stage with bands like Hellchild, Shellshock, Warpigs, 666, Des-Poz and Excrow. Members of G.K. also played in Shellshock, Lawshed and Cocobat.  Some early Shellshock songs were originally written by GIGATIC KHMER.
If you’re into powerful Japanese thrash blending precision with intensity, you definitely need to check this hidden treasure, that finally gets its deserved quality treatment on F.O.A.D. Records.

Here we are again, as anticipated – there were no F.O.A.D. releases in July, we took a month off to take care of all the orders related to the gigantic AxCx boxset and to tidy up our workspaces a bit. However, we had promised to return with a bloody blast, and we’re practically back with the same insanity with which we left off, because this month too is not for the weak. There’s some Noisecore again – with a manic collection of rare early works by our favorite German psychopaths W.B.I., but above all there’s an avalanche of ruthless grindcore – with 3 bands that really made the history of the genre. On the Gore/Grind side we are finally pleased to reissue all the early day recordings of the Swedish gods REGURGITATE, after almost 3 years of negotiations to get to this result. It had been a long time since a well done reissue of “Effortless regurgitation of bright red blood” had been seen and the one on PIU, in addition to having become expensive and difficult to find, was not a standalone album but a sort of incomplete compilation of assorted recordings.

Finally here you get “Effortless regurgitation…” alone as it was in its first version on Lowland in 1994. And in addition we decided to create a separate LP with the infamous “Torture sessions” which is a collection of RGTE demos and singles from 1991 to 1993.  Both available on LP and MC. In addition to these – which are the main course of the month – by popular demand we have decided to reissue TERRORIZER‘s “Before the downfall 1987-1989” both on vinyl in its fourth edition, this time with yellowish sleeve (the previous ones were orange, blue and green) and for the first time also on cassette, in a special double set. And since this month we let ourselves get carried away on the cassette side, we have also added the MC edition of another of our grindcore highlights, namely INSECT WARFARE “Entomological siege”! So to recap – this month’s FOAD bloodbath consists of: REGURGITATE “Effortless regurgitation of bright red blood” LP / MC, REGURGITATE “The torture sessions” LP / MC, W.B.I. “Storm from the baltic sea – Early massacres 1987-1991” LP+CD, TERRORIZER “Before the downfall 1987-1989” 2xLP+CD and 2xTape box, INSECT WARFARE “Entomological siege 2004-2009” 2xTape box. They are all available for pre-order via www.scareystore.com – we will also have them all premiered at Party San Open Air where we will be with a F.O.A.D. booth of unprecedented size, from 10th to 12th August. As usual we suggest you to blast fast on the preorder button if you want to grab the diehard splatter vinyl versions because they won’t last for long. NOTE: the out now date for all these has been set for August 21st. Please consider that we work like crazies every day and that in the summer some of us also attend open air festivals with the label’s stand, in the case of the recent AxCx pre-orders the amount of useless requests such as “have you shipped?”, “can I have the tracking” etc, long before the release date, has really gotten out of control. All this only generates stress and unnecessary waste of time in replying, please be patient, we do our best to process orders as quickly as possible using good shipping services, everything comes in its turn, days last only 24 hours and we spend the most of our time by working to the fullest, taking care of all this…

ANAL CUNT “Early shit 1988-1991” Boxset (6xLPs+book), GENITAL MASTICATOR “From originality to vulgarity” and V.N.A. “Complete deafness 1988-1989” LP… preorders start NOW!!

Posted in Anal Cunt, Genital Masticator, Releases, Violent Noise Attack on June 12th, 2023 by foadmaster2022

As some of you may have noticed, we’re already at our 305th release (last month’s Sonic Terrorism / Morbid Agression split LP) but F.O.A.D. 200 and F.O.A.D. 300 are missing from our catalog. It’s in our tradition to dedicate “big” numbers to very important releases that are particularly close to our hearts.  And in most cases this kind of releases take a lot of time (years) to be completed. Anyway we finally made it, we’re at the magical day of F.O.A.D. 200! It has already been widely revealed on our FB/IG pages in the past weeks. Well yes, it’s a colossal box set by ANAL CUNT, collecting all their recordings from 1988 to 1991 spanned through 6 x LP’s. We started working on this colossus over two years ago.

It all came from the idea of our old friend Ölaf Korth (W.B.I., Flachenbrand) who put us in touch with Seth Putnam’s mom Barbara, who owns the rights to all of her son’s music (except the Earache albums). From there an incredible team-work developed with the collaboration of former AxCx members, close friends of the band and the constant supervision of Barbara. It’s a project studied and assembled with the utmost attention and care over a long period of time.. you can’t do better than this.  6 x LP’s and a 72 page book. The LP’s compile all the demos, 7″s, splits, comp. tracks, rehearsals, unplugged and live (selected best quality ones) from the first period in which the band didn’t yet give titles to songs. To be clear, the line-up with Seth, Tim, Mike and (later) Fred. For us this time-frame of AxCx is one of the absolute peaks of noisecore and extreme music in general and we are honored to do justice with such a detailed anthology. In combination with this antimusical giant we could only add two other classics of the most extremist noisecore of that era. From the Canary Islands the mighty GENITAL MASTICATOR, with their demo “From originality to vulgarity” for the first time on LP 30 years after its inception and from France, V.N.A. – already released on F.O.A.D. in 2015 – but by popular demand we decided to give it another pressing, repackaged with different colors sleeve. So to cut it short, this month is an ear-smashing sonic hecatomb and consists of: ANAL CUNT “Early shit 1988-1991” Boxset (6xLPs+book), GENITAL MASTICATOR “From originality to vulgarity” and V.N.A. “Complete deafness 1988-1989” LP. They are all available for pre-order via www.scareystore.com! Since we are expecting a huge amount of requests, we have set June 30th as release date so that we have time to carefully prepare all packages and answer all emails. If you are having difficulty ordering, especially if it’s an order with multiple copies of considerable weight, please do not hesitate to contact us at foadrecords@gmail.com for immediate assistance. As usual we suggest you to act fast if you want to get the diehard versions because it’s quite sure that they will run out quickly.

Now going into more detail on each single release:

ANAL CUNT “Early shit 1988-1991” [6xLP+book] BOXSET (F.O.A.D. 200)

V.N.A. “Complete deafness 1988-1989” LP (F.O.A.D. 094)

Re-edition (with different sleeve colors) of this cult French Grind/Noisecore hammer originally released on F.O.A.D. in 2015 and sold out very quickly! Total discography of this terrifying unit hailing from France…  V.N.A. (Violent Noise Attack) was the side-project of a crew of friends from the late 80ies French scene formed by members of the Thrash band NOMED, Patrick from the highly missed label “Thrash Records” (that released Exit 13, Carbonized, Sorcery, Sentenced, Vital Remains etc)  and local HC bands/zine editors. Their debut demotape “Final execution”, the split 7″ with AGATHOCLES and the song on “1984, the fourth” Comp. LP have been always seen as some of the most intense and devastating expressions of the early short-song Grind/Noisecore era, worshipped by the most deranged noise extremists all over the world. Try to imagine a mix of SORE THROAT, NAPALM DEATH’s b-side of “Scum” and FEAR OF GOD and you get the idea of the brain-drilling mayhem these maniacs were able to deliver, with a studio production that was fairly above the average level of the period. This LP collects all their existing recordings, mastered from sources directly provided and licensed by band members.. 90 SONGS of absolute ear blasting horror!  Side A includes their demo (1988), the split 7″ with AGATHOCLES (1989) and a couple of unreleased studio tracks.  Side B has all never heard before stuff: a rehearsal, a full live set and even a sound-check!  Comes with a 4 page insert featuring liner notes, photos, original artworks and flyers. This record is entirely dedicated to VNA’s members André Lemesle and Patrick Blondeau that both passed away few years ago.. R.I.P.! Watch the trailer HERE

DEATH OF GOD “Great Omnipotent Deceiver” LP+CD, VISIBLE MINORITY / HAGGATH Split LP+CD, GAMVETTA s/t LP+CD and SONIC TERRORISM / MORBID AGRESSION split LP out NOW on F.O.A.D. Records!

Posted in Death of God, Gamvetta, Haggath, Morbid Aggression, Releases, Sonic Terrorism, Visible Minority on May 18th, 2023 by foadmaster2022

Welcome to F.O.A.D.’s “thrash-core obscurities” month!!  As announced, this round was going to be totally focused on bands and recordings which, despite being practically invisible (in some cases not even published at the time) have great archival and qualitative value for the underground scene of the countries they come from, and deserve to be preserved and brought to light in the highest quality or let’s say… to get the “F.O.A.D. treatment”!

As anticipated, from Canada we have VISIBLE MINORITY and HAGGATH (two outfits with the same members), and the mighty DEATH OF GOD. These anthologies have been assembled thanks to the incredible support of Derek Emerson (“Eve of Darkness – Toronto Heavy Metal 1980-1989” & “Tomorrow is too late – Hardcore Punk in Toronto 1980-1989”) and Glenn Salter (D.O.G.). From Italy we have dusted off the horrendous noise squad known as SONIC TERRORISM and the ghost demotape of MORBID AGRESSION, a forgotten session from 1987 resurrected by the band in recent times. And from Japan Takashi Tanaka’s (Transgressor, Necrophile and then Anatomia) first band, GAMVETTA, very raw death/thrash with grindcore influences, all recordings from 1989. Huge thanks to all those who supported us by giving a chance to such off-the-radar gems! To sum up: DEATH OF GOD “Great Omnipotent Deceiver” LP+CD, VISIBLE MINORITY / HAGGATH Split LP+CD, GAMVETTA s/t LP+CD and SONIC TERRORISM / MORBID AGRESSION split LP are out NOW on F.O.A.D. Records.  All preorders have already been sent.  If you haven’t still secured them to your collection, don’t miss the chance – and if you’re looking for a good deal on ordering all 4 together, keep in mind that there’s a special discounted bundle available for those who bulk order all 4 in their “diehard” version, you can find it hereAnd finally, be aware that next month we’ll announce one of the most important F.O.A.D. releases to date, probably the most extreme and deranged boxset in the history of music, a legendary band loved and hated by many. You’ll be surprised, so stay tuned!

DEATH OF GOD “Great Omnipotent Deceiver” LP+CD, VISIBLE MINORITY / HAGGATH Split LP+CD, GAMVETTA s/t LP+CD and SONIC TERRORISM / MORBID AGRESSION split LP: preorders start NOW!!

Posted in Death of God, Gamvetta, Haggath, Morbid Aggression, Releases, Sonic Terrorism, Visible Minority on May 8th, 2023 by foadmaster2022

Welcome to one of the craziest F.O.A.D. months to date! Through the years it has always been our trademark to dig and bring back to surface very rare material, literally invisible demos and super-obscurities of the past unknown to all except to small circles of old tape trading maniacs, but this time we have really outdone ourselves, indeed – we’re running into a big challenge because we’re about to release stuff that hardly anyone in the world knows about. With the exception of DEATH OF GOD and SONIC TERRORISM (whose demos had been released and distributed back then), most of what we’re about to announce is made by bands never released even as demos of the time, or circulated in a handful of copies : in the case of MORBID AGRESSION, this recording was not even known to exist until recently the band members exhumed these incredibly sick recordings. In the case of VISIBLE MINORITY and HAGGATH, it was tapes circulated only among a small circle of friends and collectors, and sent for reviews to some contemporary fanzines. Even if they are invisible recordings and almost lost over time, we realized that the qualitative and historical value was remarkable, and here we are to bring them back to light.

To sum up, this is what you might call F.O.A.D.’s obscure necro-underground thrash month and it consists of: DEATH OF GOD “Great Omnipotent Deceiver” LP+CD, VISIBLE MINORITY / HAGGATH Split LP+CD, GAMVETTA s/t LP+CD and SONIC TERRORISM / MORBID AGRESSION split LP. 3 bands from Canada (Death Of God, Visible Minority and Haggath), 2 from Italy (Sonic Terrorism and Morbid Agression), 1 from Japan (Gamvetta). They range from the furious hardcore thrash (or rather.. “crossover”) of DEATH OF GOD and VISIBLE MINORITY, to the more old school thrash metal approach of HAGGATH, to the self labelled “black core” at times thrash at times raw metal/punk of MORBID AGRESSION, from the grind-tinged primordial death metal of GAMVETTA to the blurr/grind disaster of SONIC TERRORISM. They’re all available on preorder via scareystore.com with release date set on May 19th. These 4 titles are limited to 300 copies and the colored vinyl versions just ltd. to 100, so you know they won’t last long, if you want to grab them, don’t hesitate too much!!

Also this time we decided to offer a special discounted bundle available for those who bulk order all 4 releases in their “diehard” version, you can find it here.

And here are the detailed descriptions of each..:
