Posted in Anal Cunt, Genital Masticator, Violent Noise Attack on July 4th, 2023 by foadmaster2022

Are you ready for the most deafening and radical string of releases ever made on F.O.A.D. Records?  After being highly anticipated and available on preorder for several weeks, we are honored to announce that the following beasts are hitting the streets now: ANAL CUNT “Early shit 1988-1991” Boxset (6xLPs+book), GENITAL MASTICATOR “From originality to vulgarity” and V.N.A.  “Complete deafness 1988-1989” LP.

Most of the orders have already been shipped, at the moment – as per tradition, we are attending the Obscene Extreme festival in the Czech Republic with a massive F.O.A.D. booth, upon our return we will immediately ship the remaining ones – including those to our main worldwide distributors.  Thanks in advance for your patience, as you can imagine there was a long queue of shipments to be sent and the packing phase of the boxset took longer than expected because it is a very particular and fragile item.  Hurry if you still want to grab the diehard version, there aren’t many left.  Given the considerable amount of work and the fact that some of us are out at the festival, there will be no other F.O.A.D. releases in July but we will be back in August with another lethal blast, stay tuned!

Now going into more detail on each single release:

V.N.A. “Complete deafness 1988-1989” LP (F.O.A.D. 094)

Re-edition (with different sleeve colors) of this cult French Grind/Noisecore hammer originally released on F.O.A.D. in 2015 and sold out very quickly! Total discography of this terrifying unit hailing from France…  V.N.A. (Violent Noise Attack) was the side-project of a crew of friends from the late 80ies French scene formed by members of the Thrash band NOMED, Patrick from the highly missed label “Thrash Records” (that released Exit 13, Carbonized, Sorcery, Sentenced, Vital Remains etc)  and local HC bands/zine editors. Their debut demotape “Final execution”, the split 7″ with AGATHOCLES and the song on “1984, the fourth” Comp. LP have been always seen as some of the most intense and devastating expressions of the early short-song Grind/Noisecore era, worshipped by the most deranged noise extremists all over the world. Try to imagine a mix of SORE THROAT, NAPALM DEATH’s b-side of “Scum” and FEAR OF GOD and you get the idea of the brain-drilling mayhem these maniacs were able to deliver, with a studio production that was fairly above the average level of the period. This LP collects all their existing recordings, mastered from sources directly provided and licensed by band members.. 90 SONGS of absolute ear blasting horror!  Side A includes their demo (1988), the split 7″ with AGATHOCLES (1989) and a couple of unreleased studio tracks.  Side B has all never heard before stuff: a rehearsal, a full live set and even a sound-check!  Comes with a 4 page insert featuring liner notes, photos, original artworks and flyers. This record is entirely dedicated to VNA’s members André Lemesle and Patrick Blondeau that both passed away few years ago.. R.I.P.! Watch the trailer HERE

Posted in Anal Cunt, Genital Masticator, Releases, Violent Noise Attack on June 12th, 2023 by foadmaster2022

As some of you may have noticed, we’re already at our 305th release (last month’s Sonic Terrorism / Morbid Agression split LP) but F.O.A.D. 200 and F.O.A.D. 300 are missing from our catalog. It’s in our tradition to dedicate “big” numbers to very important releases that are particularly close to our hearts.  And in most cases this kind of releases take a lot of time (years) to be completed. Anyway we finally made it, we’re at the magical day of F.O.A.D. 200! It has already been widely revealed on our FB/IG pages in the past weeks. Well yes, it’s a colossal box set by ANAL CUNT, collecting all their recordings from 1988 to 1991 spanned through 6 x LP’s. We started working on this colossus over two years ago.

It all came from the idea of our old friend Ölaf Korth (W.B.I., Flachenbrand) who put us in touch with Seth Putnam’s mom Barbara, who owns the rights to all of her son’s music (except the Earache albums). From there an incredible team-work developed with the collaboration of former AxCx members, close friends of the band and the constant supervision of Barbara. It’s a project studied and assembled with the utmost attention and care over a long period of time.. you can’t do better than this.  6 x LP’s and a 72 page book. The LP’s compile all the demos, 7″s, splits, comp. tracks, rehearsals, unplugged and live (selected best quality ones) from the first period in which the band didn’t yet give titles to songs. To be clear, the line-up with Seth, Tim, Mike and (later) Fred. For us this time-frame of AxCx is one of the absolute peaks of noisecore and extreme music in general and we are honored to do justice with such a detailed anthology. In combination with this antimusical giant we could only add two other classics of the most extremist noisecore of that era. From the Canary Islands the mighty GENITAL MASTICATOR, with their demo “From originality to vulgarity” for the first time on LP 30 years after its inception and from France, V.N.A. – already released on F.O.A.D. in 2015 – but by popular demand we decided to give it another pressing, repackaged with different colors sleeve. So to cut it short, this month is an ear-smashing sonic hecatomb and consists of: ANAL CUNT “Early shit 1988-1991” Boxset (6xLPs+book), GENITAL MASTICATOR “From originality to vulgarity” and V.N.A. “Complete deafness 1988-1989” LP. They are all available for pre-order via www.scareystore.com! Since we are expecting a huge amount of requests, we have set June 30th as release date so that we have time to carefully prepare all packages and answer all emails. If you are having difficulty ordering, especially if it’s an order with multiple copies of considerable weight, please do not hesitate to contact us at foadrecords@gmail.com for immediate assistance. As usual we suggest you to act fast if you want to get the diehard versions because it’s quite sure that they will run out quickly.

Now more in detail about our 2 new releases:

WARTORN “Destroy all monsters!” gatefold LP

32 song discography including all the studio recordings (1991-1993) of this high speed thrashing Hardcore brigade from the U.K. Take the best elements and impact of the craziest Japanese, American and British fast-core, blend them all together with some breakneck tempo changes and you get an approximate picture of the aggression they were able to deliver. This is so fast and unpredictable that at times it even oozes of an early pioneering attempt of what some US bands of the time were already labeling as Power Violence, e.g. think of Infest, Neanderthal, Crossed Out or No Comment…

Here’s a short biography to introduce them more specifically:

“Formed in late 1990 by SORE THROAT vocalist Rich “Militia” Walker after the spontaneous combustion of both bands he was playing in (SORE THROAT and WARFEAR), WARTORN began with only one aim, to create a mix of Japanese style HC such as GUDON, SYSTEMATIC DEATH and GAUZE and the ultra-fast attack of America’s SIEGE and YOUTH KORPX. Joining him in this new band were long time comrade Ian The Merciless of local 80’s Death Metal legends QUOTHROS on vocals and Dutch lunatic drummer Lennaert Roomer. Early rehearsals also included DISASTER’s guitar player Browny on bass. And with this embryonic line up the band recorded the raw and primitive “Last among Equals” demo tape on a battered 4 track recorder in early 1991. Pretty soon after Browny moved on to concentrate on DISASTER full time, so the ex-bassist of WARFEAR was brought in and an additional vocalist called Mel. With this line up the band began playing live aiming to make peoples ears bleed in the local scene with their unrelenting high velocity assaults, much to the dismay of the fashion following local peers as WARTORN’s music stood out like a sore thumb in a sea of pretentious Black Flag acolytes. In 1992 the band recorded tracks for the “Trapped In A tooth gear” sampler LP and a split EP with Rich & Lennaerts other band NAILBOMB (The original, not the band who stole their name after playing a show with them)”.

“As with all bands, the inevitable musical differences cropped up, the bassist was becoming increasingly bewildered by the fast progressing style which just kept on getting faster, and Mel the vocalist just disappeared after one gig never to be seen again. Parting ways with the bass player in late 1992 WARTORN replaced him with Big Jim Rushby (IRONSIDE / IRON MONKEY) and began teaching him the tracks for a new EP. Eventually in early 1993 WARTORN entered Fulton St Studios and in three hours laid down 11 brand new songs and a cover of Madball’s “Get Out”. Further gigging with the likes of Voorhees and Chaos UK followed before the band played their final show in the summer of 1994 before Lennaert and Jim both moved to different parts of the country thus rendering the band inactive only a few months before the second EP “Banzai” was released on the guitar player of DROPDEAD’s label over a year after it was recorded…”

Housed in a solid gatefold cover including lyrics, photos and flyers.  Limited edition of 300 copies, first 100 on marbled green vinyl.
