We have just returned from the glorious 25th edition of the legendary Obscene Extreme Festival, which as expected was a complete blast, perhaps one of the best chapters ever. As pre-announced, we would focus this month mainly to bands that played at the festival, and we chose two heavyweights: RATOS DE PORÃO – indestructible pioneers of all Brazilian hardcore/punk/thrash and CRIPPLE BASTARDS – the highest and most intense expression of grind/hardcore made in Italy, from the late 80’s to the present. For both bands we decided to release two titles each, grabbing from their back-catalog.  For RxDxPx two deluxe reissues: “Cada dia mais sujo e agressivo / Dirty and aggressive” Gatefold 2xLP and “Sistemados pelo crucifa” LP, for C.B. an extended 12″ version of the classic debut single “Life’s built on thoughts” and a new version of “Frammenti di vita” on both LP+7″ and digipack CD.  In addition to these four, given the considerable demand, we have also decided to repress DEATH MILITIA “Onslaught of death – Demo & live 1985” LP+CD with different cover colors… for those not yet familiar with this band, this is a little gem of raw speed thrash from Canada’s 80s metal hell.

We would like to point out that releases like Disharmonic Orchestra fully represent what was the starting intent of the label: we grew up listening to this stuff and it is part of our musical backbone, one of the basic ideas of when F.O.A.D. started focusing on vinyl works was about “releasing the music that we grew up with and that has meant something special to us through the years” and an anthology like this embodies that spirit to perfection. The planned out-now date for this hellish quartet is January 23rd, there may be slight delays on the two CD editions but as usual you know that you can rest easy with F.O.A.D. because we will do everything to ship as quickly as possible in order to leave you satisfied and keep up with our crazy monthly schedule! Official reissue of RP’s iconic 4th album from 1989 adding as bonus LP the incredible lost&found 1st studio take (12 TRACKS!) recorded in Italy still with Helder on drums, available for the first time on vinyl! Together with the incredible masterpiece “Screams from the gutter” this is hands down the fastest and tightest delivery in the band’s discography of the first decade. As for all their previous releases on F.O.A.D., this has been scrupulously remastered from the 1st generation master at Toxic Basement studio, taking the original dynamics and sonic impact to the most powerful and energetic stage. As explained by the band: “RAW POWER began the recording of “Mine to kill” in Italy, at Umbi Studio, and when it came to an end there were discussions about the final product. The decision to re-record the album in England with a different producer saw Helder leave, the one most satisfied with the work they had just ended, and having already had a brief live experience with the other boys, Fabiano Bianco (Bloody Riot / Raff) replaced him on drums. The fourth album came out and the previous version was trashed. The bonus LP added to this version was what would have been “Mine to kill” at the beginning, feeling like the first real attempt to change the style and understanding even more how the personalities within Raw Power differed between them, something that has always characterized the band from any other reality”. Of those 12 tracks, 4 are completely unreleased as they haven’t been re-recorded on the final version of the album, and they simply kill!
