HELLWITCH “Syzygial miscreancy + demos” Double LP out now on FOAD Records / INTERVIEW WITH PATRICK RANIERI

Posted in Hellwitch, Interviews, Releases on October 4th, 2012 by foadmaster2022

HELLWITCH “Syzygial miscreancy” double LP is finally out on FOAD Records and available both in the limited splatter blue vinyl edition…

…and in the regular black one!

As we previously anticipated, this double LP includes a special remastering of the band’s cult album from 1990 + a huge selection of early demos (complete) and live footage ranging from 1984 to 1995, all of them for the very first time on vinyl. This treasure of aggressive US Death Metal is served in a thick high glossy gatefold sleeve including rare flyers, photos, lyrics and a detailed biography. To find out more about the band’s early years and the making of their classic debut LP forged at Scott Burns’ Morrisound studios at the same time DEICIDE were in to record their 1st s/t album, we asked some questions to PATRICK RANIERI, guitarist and singer – enjoy this exclusive interview made few days ago!

FEAR OF GOD – 21 song 7″ deluxe picture disc gatefold EP – OUT NOW!! INTERVIEW WITH ERICH KELLER

Posted in Fear Of God, Interviews, Releases on July 18th, 2012 by foadmaster2022

As previously announced, the “silence sucks” grind battlefield of the Obscene Extreme Festival has been set as the official release ground of this ageless Noisecore classic, and we did it! From today this is also available via mailorder and we already shipped most of your pre-ordered copies. The limited diehard edition was sold out in a breathe even if we extended it to a few more copies (36 instead of 30) as some extra tshirts and patches surfaced from our ex warehouse. We also added an extra (xeroxed) sheet of the original never-seen-before backcover, hand numbered, to make the bundle even more special and unique. The regular edition consists of a picture disc 7″EP housed in a high glossy laminated gatefold cover with die cut, and includes a replica of the original sticker. It’s limited to 270 copies and you can order it here:

As previously mentioned, this is one of the most vital and important releases in the whole history of whatever you can point as Grindcore, Noisecore and extreme -core. In order to give you a better portrait of how this was conceived and the background that generated such an impressive blast of primordial brutality, we asked a few questions to Erich Keller, the band’s scream-out-lungs voice and also mind behind the Megawimp zine, Good Bad Music blog and the pioneeristic Off The Disk label, that back in the late ’80s brought to light some highly influential HC milestones (INFEST above all). What we got is a dynamic and detailed retrospective not just about FOG but also about many other interesting topics…here we go: Read more »

You are the only Italian hardcore band that has continued playing live and recording albums from 1980 until today. The easy question is… why?|

And the answer is another very easy one: we have been very lucky to have fans that have supported us all the time and are still doing it after so many years. You see, we have to carry on for them, as well as for my brother and for ourselves too… we would be lost without Raw Power. Read more »

BLASFEMIA “Guerra Total” LP reissue out TODAY: an interview with RAMON RESTREPO! Part 2

Posted in Blasfemia, Interviews, Releases on March 24th, 2011 by Giulio Foad

Second and final part of an interview to Ramon Restrepo by Giulio the Bastard. Besides playing bass and singing in BLASFEMIA, Ramon is the frontman of raging hardcore speed violence RESTOS DE TRAGEDIA, and singer of total South American black metal piooners PARABELLUM (1983!!), so shrieky, lewd and horrendous to put Dead-era MAYHEM to pose on the bandwagon of  the “corpse paint” sissies….

GTB- What are you currently doing? Are you still active playing music and what is your current musical activity focused on?

Ramon- Currently I alternate between my metal band (Ramón solo) and the Hardcore unit Restos De Tragedia (RDT). I am working on my boxset discography collection which includes, among others, the CD with my other songs from 1989 that were recovered in 2009 and were not included neither in Parabellum’s or Blasfemia’s discographies. This boxset will also contain a book documenting the story of all the bands I played in. Regarding the other member of Blasfemia, drummer Luis Fernando Cano, he did not play with any any other group  after Blasfemia, and is now dedicated to his family and profession. Read more »
