FEAR OF GOD “s/t 21 song EP” Tape  (F.O.A.D. on tape #23)

Almost 35 years ago this milestone of sheer brutality was originally released on 7″ by Temple Of Love Records and now it’s back in stock for the first time on cassette tape, limited to 100 pieces. Call it Noisecore, Grind, whatthefuckcore..  this 21 track destroyer still stands as one of the best records ever conceived in the history of extreme music. Peak brutality – still unmatched.   “This 21-track EP is essential in whatever form you stumble across it. The short-lived (1986-1988), much hyped and oft-bootlegged Swiss outfit, as enigmatic and distant as the cold, dissonant bursts imprisoned on this EP, blended early Napalm Death, Swans and something indescribable of their own to create an achingly raw and wordless primal scream” (Terrorizer Mag, UK – “Essential Grindcore albums – Europe”).  Since the original vinyl press was on clear wax, this cassette is clear too, and it comes with a foldout 4 panel jcard printed on both sides with lyrics and original art. Watch the trailer HERE

After two months entirely dedicated to Metal in its variety of forms, going from the death-tinged assault of Expulsion, Crematorium and Crucifixion, to the thrash artillery of Morbid Scream and Death Militia to the most classic metal of Death SS, it’s time to turn the page pushing to the limits of extremity and return to a well-tested FOAD ground, with a month all focused on the most nihilistic and brutal grind/noisecore. For some it’ll be a surprise to see that on this round we have 3 new albums of current times: as previously explained, after all F.O.A.D. is not a reissue-only label, it was simply founded with the formula of releasing whatever we like, so the doors are also open to more recent bands and contemporary recordings. That said, our roster for this month consists of a band already well known to those familiar with our history: SORE THROAT, of which we are honored to introduce the new “Starving wolves stand & fight” 12″ and an expanded reissue of their classic “Never mind the napalm” LP, then we have KANDARIVAS from Japan and their “Blood surgical death” LP, combining elements of the most furious grindcore with experimental/tribal parts inspired by the tradition of their area, then it’s the turn of PUTREFACTION SETS IN and their debut ripper “Repugnant inception of decomposing paroxysm”, a new spearhead in the international gore grind scene – with members of Regurgitate, General Surgery, Lymphatic Phlegm, Expurgo etc and at least but not last another classic unit with a long history of releases on FOAD: FEAR OF GOD and their legendary 21 song EP (1988) for the first time on cassette tape.

So to sum it all up: SORE THROAT “Starving wolves stand & fight” LP and “Never mind the napalm” LP, KANDARIVAS “Blood surgical death” LP , PUTREFACTION SETS IN “Repugnant inception of decomposing paroxysm” LP and FEAR OF GOD “s/t 21 songs EP” Tape are all available for preorder. As usual we strongly recommend to act fast if you don’t want to miss out on the limited colored vinyl versions, they will surely finish quickly. And to top it off, we will have a preview of these new titles at the Record Planet Mega Record Fair at the Brabanthallen in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands on November 12th & 13th, so if you’re planning to visit the fair you can pick them up there, come to visit us at stall nr 128 in the Metal/Punk area.

RAPT “Thrash war – discography 1984-1987” LP+7″+CD and FEAR OF GOD “s/t EP” (12″ version) out NOW on FOAD RECORDS

Posted in Fear Of God, Rapt, Releases on February 19th, 2018 by foadmaster2022

As previously anticipated our deathly recipe for February is a double deflagration of the most insane and anti-musical Noisecore / Thrash spawned in the 80s. We’re talking of France’s fastest unit in pioneering pre-grindcore times: RAPT, and the Swiss milestone of brutalizing extremity known as FEAR OF GOD. Both releases are out now and ready to ship, all your preorders have been sent already, so expect to receive them soon. We still have a few copies of RAPT’s diehard edition on splatter blue/white vinyl (ltd. to 150), so act fast if you still want to catch it. If you enjoyed this batch of ear-damaging “noise not music” devastation stay tuned because next month things will remain on the same levels of insanity and nihilism.

More in detail about each release:

RAPT “Thrash war – discography 1984-1987” LP+7″+CD  (F.O.A.D. 139)

Noise with distortion – it’s the Thrash core. Musical destruction, now another war… it’s an expression. Here’s the Thrash War!” these are the lyrics of the title track, to give you a picture of the sonic hecatomb that these French maniacs were unleashing. Out of tune guitars, manic fast drumming and rabid vocals… logos of LÄRM, KAAOS, HEADCLEANERS, EU’S ARSE on their jackets. Add that their only 7″ got originally released on “Caos Produzioni” by the singer of WRETCHED… you can easily guess how they were sounding. RAPT were certainly not the earliest Hardcore band in the 80’s French scene but certainly one of the fastest and noisiest. This total discography set authorized by the band’s bass player and screamer Olivier collects their Split 7″ with Final Blast, all their demos (also including the 3rd one recorded in NYC with a different line-up) and a very detailed selection of rare recordings, most of which have never been released to date.

Each session has been transferred from the mastertapes provided by the band and accurately mastered for vinyl, you have never heard RAPT sounding so powerful and clear as on this ultimate release. Housed in a gatefold sleeve with a fanzine styled booklet full of photos, flyers, zine excerpts and original artworks. The extra 7″ has the NYC demo 1987 while the bonus CD has all what you’ll find on the LP and 7″ + some bonus live and rehearsals.

Available in 2 different versions:

Diehard edition on splatter blue vs bone-white vinyl, limited to 150 copies

Regular black vinyl limited to 400 copies

FEAR OF GOD “s/t EP” – 12″ version –  (F.O.A.D. 140)

Exactly 30 years ago this milestone of sheer brutality was originally released on 7″ by Temple Of Love Records. Call it Noisecore, Grind, whatthefuckcore… this 21 track destroyer still stands as one of the best records ever conceived in the history of extreme music. To celebrate this anniversary FOAD Records is reissuing it for the first time on 12″ cut at 45rpm for the best possible sonic annihilation, housed in a 80’s styled maxi single sleeve with lyrics insert and bonus sticker.

This 21-track EP is essential in whatever form you stumble across it. The short-lived (1986-1988), much hyped and oft-bootlegged Swiss outfit, as enigmatic and distant as the cold, dissonant bursts imprisoned on this EP, blended early Napalm Death, Swans and something indescribable of their own to create an achingly raw and wordless primal scream” (Terrorizer Mag, UK – “Essential Grindcore albums – Europe”)

Limited edition of 400 copies, all on transparent vinyl

Posted in Fear Of God, Pre Orders, Rapt, Releases on February 5th, 2018 by foadmaster2022

After a short break to rearrange things in our warehouse, ship the many orders for the CB boxset and do an inventory, we’re back with our usual double assault of headblowing sonic butchery. And this month things are getting really sick, as we’re ready to launch 2 pioneering Noisecore blasts from the 80s, respectively hailing from France and Switzerland. The first surprise is nothing else but the “Thrash war” total discography LP+7″+CD by RAPT, that after being almost 3 years in the making is finally ready to incinerate your turntable.

The other is the 30th anniversary edition of one of our all time favourite records, the legendary s/t 21 track EP 1988 by the Swiss noisecore terrorists FEAR OF GOD, for the first time on 12″ in a top sounding ear damaging edition. So RAPTThrash war – discography 1984-1987” LP+7″+CD and FEAR OF GOD “s/t EP” (12″ version) are up for preorders. We’ll start to ship on February 17th 2018.

Posted in Aborticidio, Fear Of God, Isolation As Cult, Releases on December 21st, 2015 by foadmaster2022

After an uxnepected delay due to the pressing plant being ultra-congested by year end orders, we are pleased to announce that 2 new FOAD releases are finally here and ready to ship. As previously announced, once again we are pummelling your eardrums with a double dose of the most ripping and punishing Noisecore you can think of… FEAR OF GODPneumatic slaughter – extended version” gatefold LP (ltd picture disc / colored vinyl / black vinyl) and ISOLATION AS CULT / ABORTICIDIO split 7″ (splatter vinyl) are out now!! We are starting to pack and ship all preorders now and they’ll be all mailed by early next week the latest. Once you’ll see the highly deluxe packaging of F.O.G. you’ll realize that it has been worth the extra wait: thick gatefold printed even inside its pockets, extra silver foil print, partial UV inserts… simply INSANE!  So more in detail about each release:

FEAR OF GOD “Pneumatic slaughter – extended version” gatefold LP + poster (F.O.A.D. 084)

4th and last installment in the high-quality FEAR OF GOD vinyl series on F.O.A.D. Records… for those who aren’t familiar to what was released before: “s/t” 7″ as picture disc gatefold EP, “As statues fell” (extended version) as gatefold LP (black, white and picture disc), “Under the chainsaw” (“Konserven” demo + tons of bonus tracks) as gatefold LP (black, blue and picture disc). This LP collects the band’s legendary “Pneumatic slaughter” EP with 6 bonus tracks from the same show (Live 13/2/1988 @ AJZ Reithalle, Bern, Switzerland) + the complete ultra-brutal Burlandingen gig (9/1/1988), for a total of 48 tracks, also featuring covers of GAI, FATAL VISION, SIEGE and LÄRM.

Each session transferred from 1st generation mastertapes provided by Erich Keller and specially mastered for vinyl at Toxic Basement Studio, a guarantee of sonic excellence on this kind of works.  It captures the rawness and mindblowing aggression of F.O.G. at the top of their devastating extremity, with that unique sound no band has been ever able to outdo in terms of brutality and annihilation. You don’t need many words to explain how this sounds like. Every single frame of FEAR OF GOD is the most extreme and brutal delivery of what has been ever conceived in the clash of sounds between Noisecore and Hardcore.

As Erich states: “Hardcore, grindcore, death metal, noise, fuckshitupism – whatever. We didn’t agree on much, but on the following we were unanimous – that Fear Of God should be the most extreme band in the world, or as we would say, the most “brutal.” Every member of the band was under pressure to deliver his contribution with the utmost intensity. The drums had to go as fast as possible, the guitars should grind out riffs as well as produce a wall of noise, the bass and backing vocals should lay the heavily distorted grounds for the overall basic structure and I did everything I could to make my voice sound non-human.” Housed in a deluxe gatefold sleeve with transparent UV-spot and silver foil print + A2 poster with unreleased art by Morbid Mark!

Available in 3 different versions:

DIE-HARD PICTURE DISC LP ltd to 166 copies

SILVER VINYL ltd to 250 copies

BLACK VINYL

ISOLATION AS CULT / ABORTICIDIO Split 7″ (F.O.A.D. 097)

Ultra-limited edition of 200 copies on marbled green vinyl ranging from dark green to water green to turquoise. One of the sickest and most extreme releases in the entire F.O.A.D. Records‘ discography. ISOLATION AS CULT from Italy is a revived early ’90s aberration of GTB from Cripple Bastards teaming up with HOD, chief of the infamous Toxic Basement Studio from which most FOAD releases are conceived and properly mastered for vinyl. If you’re a nostalgic of late 80s / early 90s short song Noisecore in the vein of 7MON, AxCx, Stench Of Corpse, Sore Throat, V.N.A., Tumor, early C.B. and so on, this is exactly that kind of madness. Following to the impossible to find “Pazi brzinu” demotape 1990, this new split EP is an ear-mangling 90-song-in-less-than-3-minutes bombing made of hyper blasting drum ferocity, wall of noise guitar fuzziness and the insane vocal delivery Cripple Bastards are known for.

ABORTICIDIO from Mexico is a fantastic Noise/Punk trio with a sound all devoted to the ancient Japanese masters of dustnoise rawness… They remind of GAI, CONFUSE, The SWANKYS, STATE CHILDREN and other acoustic destroyers of that 80s wave. Their side consists of 2 unreleased songs, following 2 previous tapes, 2 singles and 1 super-rare onesided lathe cut.
