Vinile trasparente fumé (180 grammi) limitato a 200 copie

SKRUIGNERS “Finalmente vi odio davvero” LP (F.O.A.D. 223)

Vinile marmorizzato bianco/blu (180 grammi) limitato a 200 copie

Edizione diehard in vinile bronzo (180 grammi) limitata a 100 copie

Vinile nero (180 grammi) limitato a 200 copie

Here we are, our May releases have just been delivered by the pressing plant and we are ready to ship.  As already announced, this month is all dedicated to Italian Hardcore with two LP’s by SKRUIGNERS, respectively “Grazie di tutto” (1999) and “Finalmente vi odio davvero” (2001) both appearing for the very first time on vinyl, plus the total discography of BLAXFEMA, a raging HC unit from the mid ’80s formed by members of Wrong Boys. The most limited versions of the two SKRUIGNERS records are already sold out on preorder, we’ve still got a few of those ltd. to 200 (splatter blue/white and smokey clear) so hurry up if you want to catch them before they’re gone forever.  Part of the orders have been sent already, the remaining ones will be all shipped in the incoming week.

SKRUIGNERS “Grazie di tutto” LP (F.O.A.D. 222)

An unmatched 90’s Italian Hardcore classic for the first time on vinyl!  Formed in 1996 not far from Milano, SKRUIGNERS have somehow slipped under the radar not being much recognized by the international HC community, although at the same time in Italy through their 15-year career they have always packed all kind of venues and squats with hundreds of punks stagediving and singing along each of their anthems word by word. Their style takes the renewed adrenalinic approach of the best contemporary HC of their time (above Torino’s bands like early Crunch, Belli-Cosi and Arturo) also paying attention to the ’80s school of pioneering legends like Declino, Impact, Crash Box etc.. evolving it with a personal touch – at times spiced up with a Punk Rock vibe, yet keeping it always fast, young and rageful.  “Grazie di tutto” is their second full length, recorded in 1999 and originally published on CD only by Tube Records. Here you get it for the first time on LP (180 grams), specially mastered for vinyl for the most powerful sonic impact, coming with a booklet that includes lyrics and photos of that time. Watch the trailer HERE

Smokey clear vinyl (180 grams) limited to 200

SKRUIGNERS “Finalmente vi odio davvero” LP (F.O.A.D. 223)

The band’s iconic third full length for the first time on vinyl!  18 songs of rapid, no frills Italian Hardcore – the album that consolidated their style based on energy, sincerity, rage, and estabilished them as one of the Italian HC acts with the largest fanbase in their country. Evolving the formula adopted on previous works, “Finalmente vi odio davvero” (2001) combines the best of ’90s Hardcore (think of early Crunch and Arturo) with the roots coming from furious Italian HC pioneers (as a matter of fact here you’ll also find a cover of DECLINO‘s “Mortale tristezza“).  Even if they never reached the deserved recognition abroad, each track on this record is a memory of completely sold out venues and bloody pits of punks stagediving and singin’ along.  Pressed on 180 gram vinyl, specially mastered for the most powerful sonic impact, including a booklet with lyrics and photos of that time.  Watch the trailer HERE

Marble blue/white vinyl (180 grams) limited to 200

BLAXFEMA “Urla di dolore 1984-1986” LP+CD (F.O.A.D. 229)

Another incredible Italian Hardcore gem from the “furious years” not to be missed… Founded in fall 1984 on the ashes of WRONG BOYS (that have also been reissued on F.O.A.D. recently), BLAXFEMA continued along the same path delivering fast, angry and political Hardcore. This complete discography includes their classic “Menes” Demotape 1985 straight from the reels and a never-heard-before soundboard live/rehearsal that shows them at the top of their game!!  24 TRACKS of sincere, crucial Hardcore recommended if you also like INFEZIONE, DECLINO, IMPACT and early European thrashing HC in general.  Pressed on 180 gram vinyl, comes with a full colored photo insert and a fanzine styled booklet with liner notes, rare flyers, scans of the original tapes, Virus related press pages, extra artworks and a lot more!! BLASFEMIA “Guerra Total” LP reissue out TODAY: an interview with RAMON RESTREPO! Part 2

Posted in Blasfemia, Interviews, Releases on March 24th, 2011 by Giulio Foad

Second and final part of an interview to Ramon Restrepo by Giulio the Bastard. Besides playing bass and singing in BLASFEMIA, Ramon is the frontman of raging hardcore speed violence RESTOS DE TRAGEDIA, and singer of total South American black metal piooners PARABELLUM (1983!!), so shrieky, lewd and horrendous to put Dead-era MAYHEM to pose on the bandwagon of  the “corpse paint” sissies….

GTB- What are you currently doing? Are you still active playing music and what is your current musical activity focused on?

Ramon- Currently I alternate between my metal band (Ramón solo) and the Hardcore unit Restos De Tragedia (RDT). I am working on my boxset discography collection which includes, among others, the CD with my other songs from 1989 that were recovered in 2009 and were not included neither in Parabellum’s or Blasfemia’s discographies. This boxset will also contain a book documenting the story of all the bands I played in. Regarding the other member of Blasfemia, drummer Luis Fernando Cano, he did not play with any any other group  after Blasfemia, and is now dedicated to his family and profession. Read more »

BLASFEMIA “Guerra Total” LP reissue out TODAY: an interview with RAMON RESTREPO! Part 1

Posted in Blasfemia, Interviews, Releases on March 21st, 2011 by Giulio Foad

To introduce the official street release date of BLASFEMIA “Guerra Total” vinyl reissue on FOAD Records,  we are proud to present an interview with original PARABELLUM and BLASFEMIA‘s lead vocalist/bassist Ramon Restrepo.

We are particularly excited about this re-release because, in the thrashy gold-digging tradition of FOAD, we have unearthed a seminal gem of pure EVIL transferred into music. An introduction to BLASFEMIA is necessary: forget all the preconceived Western stereotypes about extreme music, and try to clear off your mind, because the historical sense of this band cannot be understood trough the filters of others more institutionalized forms of black and death metal.
BLASFEMIA are as dark as the streets of 80’s Colombia, where drug lords and racket tycoons ruled the daily chronicles. As a consequence, “growing up wrong” and getting a guitar would not have necessarily created the same effect as it did to many more “fortunate sons” in other parts of the Western world. South America, and especially Colombia in the 80s, was a place where playing bestial black-death-thrash-war metal was a necessity, not a scene trend for cool death metallers. Read more »
