Posted in Battalion, Carnage, Cremains, D.B.C., General Surgery, Obliveon, Savage Death on May 5th, 2025 by foadmaster2022

It was about time to go on a month more focused on the metal vein of F.O.A.D. Records.  Those who’ve been following us since the early years know that our label has always been very balanced with a choice that over time has always been somewhere in between metal in its multiple facets and hardcore punk.  What we are about to announce is a month in 100% pure F.O.A.D. style, we are talking about 80s THRASH, sometimes with veers on hardcore, sometimes more on death metal. Once again we wanted to go overboard and there are no less than 7 releases in one round! And as always we cover countries that have a long tradition of collaboration with us: Canada, U.S.A. (New Jersey) and Denmark.  Plus from Sweden two second pressings of LPs already released recently (Carnage and General Surgery) which having sold out in an instant we bring you again by popular demand.  From Canada 3 gems of total thrash: OBLIVEON, D.B.C. and CREMAINS, from New Jersey a new pressing of SAVAGE DEATH (already released 15 years ago always on F.O.A.D., now with a new layout and an audio master freshly ripped from the reels, with an unreleased extra track). From Denmark the fantastic horde known as BATTALION, with the complete discography. To summarize and get straight to the point, this month on F.O.A.D. Records consists of…: BATTALION “Immortal power / The sense” LP and CD, D.B.C. “The demo anthology” Gatefold 2xLP, CREMAINS “Nuclear carnage – complete recordings 1987/1988” LP+CD, OBLIVEON “Oblivion – Demo 1987 + Live bonus” LP and CD, SAVAGE DEATH “Crucified after the genocide” LP, CARNAGE “The day man lost… / Infestation of evil – The 1989 demos” LP (2nd pressing) and GENERAL SURGERY “Demos 1990” LP (2nd pressing)

They’re all available for pre-order through scareystore.com (release date planned around May 20, 2025). As always, we have prepared limited bundles for you, one for those who want to buy all the diehard versions of the 5 new thrash titles together at a discounted price and one for those who want to taste all the Canadian thrash releases on F.O.A.D. at a truly incredible price. These offers are temporary and will be removed in a short time, at our discretion. As always we end up with the usual recommendations: act fast if you want to grab the colored-splatter vinyl editions because they are very limited, don’t be impatient – once you place your order, don’t bombard us with unnecessary messages about additions or changes of items, address changes, and more. In this way you allow us to work more expeditiously and calmly, avoiding confusion.
And now to go into more detail about these 7 death threats:

What we are about to announce is a really important month for us, under a variety of factors. As you’ll be able to see there’s again a noticeable shift of genres from what we’ve put out in previous months, and this proves the variety and multiformity of F.O.A.D.’s taste and a production schedule that is always broad and never fossilized to a standard. But beyond that: there’s a truly incredible release, the 1989 collection of demos and rarities by Sweden’s death metal pioneers CARNAGE, made under the constant supervision of the legend that is Mike Amott. This release is especially close to our hearts because it took us several years to bring it to light and it’s a bit of a symbol of a small-big victory after internal vicissitudes that took turns in our team years ago, those who know us more closely know what we’re talking about. Also, another big news: this month also marks the beginning of a very interesting collaboration. In addition to CARNAGE, the other four releases (all death/grind-themed) we’re about to announce are the result of F.O.A.D. Records and Nuclear Abominations Records joining forces to complete a series of projects that have been in the works for a long time. And we’re off to a great start with 4x true gems of deadly rot: CATASEXUAL URGE MOTIVATION from Japan, ROTTING FLESH from Brazil, DYSENTERY from Germany and NECROLEPSY from Finland. This is just the beginning of this collaboration, every now and then in the times to follow we will do a dedicated N.A.&F.O.A.D. month with additional releases proposed and organized by N.A., and believe us there are really interesting ideas on fire.

But back to us and getting straight to the point.. the 5x sonic atrocities we have made for this month are:  CARNAGE “The day man lost… / Infestation of evil – The 1989 demos” LP, CATASEXUAL URGE MOTIVATION “The encyclopedia of serial murders” Trifold 2LP, ROTTING FLESH “Mesologic Colliquative effects upon…” LP, DYSENTERY “…brings me no tears” LP and  NECROLEPSY “Necrology” LP+CD… Pre-orders start now at www.scareystore.com and the official release date is planned for May 17, so that we can stay on schedule for the next round, which will again be very busy (5 more releases in June!).  As usual we’re offering a limited BUNDLE with diehard editions of all 5, so as to facilitate those who want to buy them in bulk at a discounted price. And as usual we advise you to act fast, especially on the splatter/color versions because they will surely run out at the speed of light!

And now here are more detailed descriptions of each release:
