CRIPPLE BASTARDShave just finished recording and mixing a brand new full length includingall covers of ’80s Italian Hardcore/Thrash classics, to be releasedthis coming November 25thon the cult labelT.V.O.R. (tvor 022) co-released by FOAD Records (Foad 012), just in time to be presented during their string of Italian shows with US Thrash/Speedcore pioneersWEHRMACHT.
Here’s a short quote written by the band introducing the CD: “In 1994, the German Noise/Grind/Thrash labelEcocentric Recordsreleased aCRIPPLE BASTARDS 7″called“Frammenti di vita”featuring covers of early ’80s Italian Hardcore bands butchered in our own style. For years we had been planning to record a definitive full length follow up with different songs than the previous EP… we finally made it –only16 years later. We chose a selection of the Italian Punk/Hardcore/Thrash bands that influenced us most in the early days and helped forge our sound; this album is also our homage to those bands whose members have become our friends throughout the years.”
The cover art of the album (displayed here for the first time ever) was drawn byAndrei Bouzikov(Municipal Waste, Voetsek, Violator, Deadfall, Cannabis Corpseetc).Read more »
