After a month that will undoubtedly go down in F.O.A.D. history as one of the busiest and most challenging we’ve ever faced – with no less than 7 releases (!!) unleashed at the same time, two open-air festivals with our on-the-road store in full action, and our warehouse turned into an infernal furnace – we’re finally ready to present our last summer assault. Of course, F.O.A.D. never really takes a break, so once August is over we’ll immediately dive into another insane round of releases in September. If July buried you under a wheelbarrow full of the filthiest gore-death-grind imaginable, August shifts the focus towards slightly less extreme territory, but with exactly the same crushing level of heaviness, brutality and sonic devastation. This month’s four releases are entirely dedicated to the Scandinavian death metal golden era, covering the years 1988-1996 with two legendary Swedish acts and two outstanding Finnish hordes. The Swedish front features two long-awaited gems for true devotees of the genre: MACRODEX with the complete discography “Reborn Through Hate – Complete Recordings 1988-1990” Gatefold 2xLP+CD and ADVERSARY with the collection of their three outstanding demos, “Succumb To Death Metal” LP+CD.
