SEMETARY “No runaway – complete discography 1989-1992” 2xLP+CD, RIVERGE “Stand in fear of nothing – early years discography” 3xLP+CD and ZIGAI “s/t” LP: preorders start NOW!!

We had promised to start the year with a blast and here we are to reveal what it was all about, with the only flaw that we were ready to make this announcement much earlier but as it’s happening more and more often in recent times, a completely unexpected delay from the pressing plant messed up our plans a bit. Nevertheless, we are almost in the pipeline and therefore let’s get straight to the point: it’s no longer necessary to say that F.O.A.D. Records has a very strong bond with Japan and that over the years we have unearthed many underground gems from this amazing country, so once again we return to explore the boundless and mysterious meanders of an inexhaustible scene with an infinity interesting material (both past and present) yet to be discovered.

For this round of releases, we have chosen 3 bands, two of them are totally on the traditional Japancore front: we’re talking of Shizuoka’s HC psychos SEMETARY of which we’re honored to deliver a complete 32 song discography 1988-1992, then the shortly lived Kyushu Hardcore Punk revelation called ZIGAI whose period of existence takes us back to much less distant times (2016-2017), while the third is one of Osaka’s pioneering Thrash legends, RIVERGE – here with a feverishly exhaustive anthology of their early rare recordings from 1985 to 1988. To sum things up, this month’s recipe on F.O.A.D. Records consists of: SEMETARYNo runaway – Complete discography 1989-1992” 2xLP+CD, RIVERGEStand in fear of nothing – Early years discography” 3xLP+CD and ZIGAIs/t” gatefold LP!!

Preorders are open now on www.scareystore.com , please keep in mind that as we mentioned the delivery date from the pressing plant has been slightly postponed, from the latest updates received there is a good chance that we’ll start shipping from the first week of February, if further delays get involved we kindly ask you to be patient and wait for our updates, after all there are labels opening preorders 5-6 months ahead then utterly postponing them, we are always trying to speed things up as much as possible staying in the range of few weeks in order to keep a constant flow of new releases reaching all you maniacs as quickly as possible. And we strongly recommend you to act fast on preorder if you want to secure these to your collection (especially the ltd. diehard version) because as you’ve seen countless times, this kind of releases are getting sold out in the blink of an eye. So, to go deeper into each of these releases – here are the point-by-point descriptions:

ZIGAI “s/t” Gatefold LP (F.O.A.D. 255)

Intense old school Japanese Hardcore attack, hailing from Oita – ZIGAI is another well-kept-secret from the legendary Kyushu Punk scene that even in recent times has kept on delivering bands of incredible quality, unique in their sound. Their style combines a solid UK82 influence with the distinctive imprint of their area’s roots, let’s say more leaning towards KURO‘s school rather than the total Noisecore approach of other well-known glories. Complete studio recordings (flexi disc and demo) + 6 live tracks, two of which are completely unreleased up to now. Gatefold LP with OBI strip and a stunning 20 page photo-booklet. In memory of the band’s iconic singer Kabuto. Watch the trailer HERE
