GORE BEYOND NECROPSY “Raw, filthy & harsh!!!” Boxset (F.O.A.D. 400!), SORE THROAT “Disgrace to the corpse of Sid” gatefold LP and SORE THROAT “Unhindered by talent” gatefold LP… out NOW on F.O.A.D. Records!!

Posted in Gore Beyond Necropsy, Sore Throat on January 12th, 2026 by foadmaster2022

Believe it or not (we find it hard to believe ourselves!), we have just entered the 40th year of F.O.A.D., founded in 1986 in Turin as a xeroxed DIY fanzine by our friend Marco (RIP). The journey that has brought us to where we are today has been a real odyssey, with constant ups and downs, incredible highlights, and also a lot of suffering.  In Italy, it’s not easy to run a niche-underground label like this, because everyone does everything possible to slow you down and hinder you in the worst possible ways. But with stubborness, fighting spirit, and a lot of passion and love for what we do, here we are, not only celebrating our 40th anniversary, but also our 400th release! We apologize for the delay caused by the stupid Xmas rush, every year the same bullshit. Unfortunately, what should have been our December releases were only delivered a few days ago (January), so we had to rush like crazy to catch up and ship all your pre-orders. As always, thank you so much to those who continue to support us, believe in what we do, and appreciate the quality of our work. Without your constant encouragement and help, we would not have come this far.  So, to get straight to the point: GORE BEYOND NECROPSY “Raw, filthy & harsh!!!” Boxset (F.O.A.D. 400!), SORE THROAT “Disgrace to the corpse of Sid” gatefold LP, and SORE THROAT “Unhindered by talent” gatefold LP are finally out now.  All pre-orders have been shipped and tracking numbers updated.

These deliveries will not be very fast because even though they are on their way, they are still suffering from delays accumulated in the senseless end-of-year postal traffic. We kindly ask you to be patient. Please note that the diehard/splatter versions of both SORE THROAT titles are sold out, and the two diehard versions of GORE BEYOND NECROPSY are also rapidly selling out… be quick!  So, as you can see, we have been forced to combine December and January under these three releases, skipping a month. We’ll be back with four new releases in February, and you can obviously expect an avalanche of kicks in the face, because it’ll be a month dedicated entirely to classic CALIFORNIAN GRINDCORE.

Stay tuned!Going into more detail about each release this month:

SORE THROAT “Disgrace to the corpse of Sid” gatefold LP
One of the most frightening and terrifying records in music history finally returns to the spotlight in a deluxe F.O.A.D.-treatment reissue!  This 103 song aberration (yes, it was 103 and not 101 as written on the sticker of the first pressing), originally released in 1989 and surrounded by much controversy between the band and Earache Records, remains to this day an unparalleled assault of catastrophic noisecore ferocity.  Call it Noise, Grind, Britcore or whatever you like… but if we’re talking about the most extreme stuff ever released on a 12″, “Disgrace To The Corpse Of Sid” is definitely in the top 5 of all time. “Lion Studios was hit by an even more extreme barrage of noise than before, as we decided to raise the stakes and exceed 100 tracks on the record.” (Rich Militia) This new edition has been entirely remastered for vinyl from the best sound sources and repackaged in a thick cardboard gatefold sleeve featuring extensive liner notes by Rich Militia + OBI strip in Japanese and “Fuck Earache” A2 poster designed by the band.

SORE THROAT “Unhindered by talent” gatefold LP (F.O.A.D. 079)
Official reissue of one of the most influential and distinctive noisecore/punk classics of the late 80s UK hardcore scene.  Brand new upgraded version housed in a gatefold sleeve with OBI strip in Japanese, liner notes by Rich Militia, lyrics and a replica of a 1988 promo-poster. 52 songs of cider-intoxicated aural butchery backed by a caustic sense of humor and wildly provocative lyrics.  Quoting some reviews of the time: “SORE THROAT are the latest hell spawn of the ultracore thrash gurgling-gravel-in-a-sound-avalanche school of thought”. / “SORE THROAT are a music fan’s worst nightmare, 52 tracks that threaten to defy the very laws of nature, the ST sound is a thick, ugly mother that catches you like the swiftest blow to the stomach and leaves you feeling you’ve just gone 15 rounds with a runaway steamroller.” Originally released in 1988 after a few successful demos and the hyper-legendary “Death to capitalist Hardcore” 45 song EP, “Unhindered by talent” was the groundbreaking debut full length of UK’s most extreme noise unit, combining ultra-short detonating bursts with some solid 2-riffs/2-words HC ragers devoted to the Discharge/early Scandicore formula and also inevitably reminescent of DOOM, with whom ST shared 2 members. Mastered from the best sounding source in existence for the fiercest possible sonic devastation on vinyl.. “Unhindered by talent but we don’t give a fuck!”.

Posted in Fear Of God, Kandarivas, Putrefaction Sets In, Releases, Sore Throat on November 6th, 2022 by foadmaster2022

After two months entirely dedicated to Metal in its variety of forms, going from the death-tinged assault of Expulsion, Crematorium and Crucifixion, to the thrash artillery of Morbid Scream and Death Militia to the most classic metal of Death SS, it’s time to turn the page pushing to the limits of extremity and return to a well-tested FOAD ground, with a month all focused on the most nihilistic and brutal grind/noisecore. For some it’ll be a surprise to see that on this round we have 3 new albums of current times: as previously explained, after all F.O.A.D. is not a reissue-only label, it was simply founded with the formula of releasing whatever we like, so the doors are also open to more recent bands and contemporary recordings. That said, our roster for this month consists of a band already well known to those familiar with our history: SORE THROAT, of which we are honored to introduce the new “Starving wolves stand & fight” 12″ and an expanded reissue of their classic “Never mind the napalm” LP, then we have KANDARIVAS from Japan and their “Blood surgical death” LP, combining elements of the most furious grindcore with experimental/tribal parts inspired by the tradition of their area, then it’s the turn of PUTREFACTION SETS IN and their debut ripper “Repugnant inception of decomposing paroxysm”, a new spearhead in the international gore grind scene – with members of Regurgitate, General Surgery, Lymphatic Phlegm, Expurgo etc and at least but not last another classic unit with a long history of releases on FOAD: FEAR OF GOD and their legendary 21 song EP (1988) for the first time on cassette tape.

So to sum it all up: SORE THROAT “Starving wolves stand & fight” LP and “Never mind the napalm” LP, KANDARIVAS “Blood surgical death” LP , PUTREFACTION SETS IN “Repugnant inception of decomposing paroxysm” LP and FEAR OF GOD “s/t 21 songs EP” Tape are all available for preorder. As usual we strongly recommend to act fast if you don’t want to miss out on the limited colored vinyl versions, they will surely finish quickly. And to top it off, we will have a preview of these new titles at the Record Planet Mega Record Fair at the Brabanthallen in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands on November 12th & 13th, so if you’re planning to visit the fair you can pick them up there, come to visit us at stall nr 128 in the Metal/Punk area.

Posted in Atrofia Cerebral, Cripple Bastards, Releases, Sore Throat, Tumor, W.B.I. on December 21st, 2021 by foadmaster2022

Here we are with the final post closing another extremely vital and productive year for F.O.A.D. Records. Despite all the difficulties related to the pandemic, the increases in raw material costs and above all the never-before-seen congestion that has slowed down pressing plants beyond belief, in such tough times we managed to get to 36 releases out in 2021, which for us is truly an absolute record. A record that we’ll do everything we can to break even further in 2022, given the fact that we have an endless list of incredible releases that we can’t wait to reveal! All this is only thanks to all of you who have always continued to support us and appreciate our work – allowing us to keep things rolling strong and stable. To all those who have tenaciously continued to get our releases and of course to the various record stores and distros that helped us get them around: you know who you are and all our efforts and commitment are dedicated to you.

So, as previously announced – we are ending the year with a brain-splitting storm of relentless Noisecore, and the apocalyptic four consists of: SORE THROATWho killed Gumby?” LP, CRIPPLE BASTARDS1991: complete demo sessions and unreleased tracks” LP, W.B.I. / TUMORSplit” LP and ATROFIA CEREBRALMatanza extrema” LP.

All of them are out now, most preorders have been sent so you can hopefully receive them before Xmas. As expected, the diehard colored vinyl versions of all have been sold out on preorder, for some of them the black vinyl run is quite limited too, so we strongly suggest to act fast if you don’t want to miss them! F.O.A.D. Records and scareystore.com will continue to operate without interruption during the upcoming holidays, we’ll try our best to ship orders in real time, if some delays will occur it’ll be due to couriers and post offices.  Last one: stay tuned because our next round of announcements will be simply… UNREAL!!

More in detail about this month’s 4 x Noisecore releases:

SORE THROAT “Who killed Gumby?” LP (F.O.A.D. 250)

F.O.A.D. Records reaches its 250th release with an absolute gem of uncompromised aural butchery. SORE THROAT’s first ever recording immortalized in Rich Militia’s bedroom in 1987, now for the first time on vinyl! Quoting Rich himself: “22 tracks of cider swilling, system smashing, Evo sniffing, Tory punching, fashion hating, Nazi crushing, total horrendous noise!”. But wait, there are actually a lot more than 22 tracks: side B Includes a particularly rowdy live recording recorded in Cardiff in 1988, which is not just one bonus track as the band says – it’s the complete set, in surprisingly intense sound quality. Usually when we are about to announce the last round of releases of the year we say “ending the year with a blast”, in this case it would be more appropriate to say “ending the year crashing into a brickwall” as what we are about to announce is some of the most annihilating, disturbing and anti-musical sonic horror ever seen on F.O.A.D.!  And this also comes in conjunction with a great anniversary: we’re at our 250th release! Can you believe it? Seems like an eternity since when, at the end of 2009, we brought to light our first vinyl work, not counting the incredible DIY history of the previous years… And there is no craziest way to celebrate such a milestone than with a bombing of extreme noise butchery of the sickest type to catapult you back 30 years in a “2021 like 1991” hyperdimension: welcome to F.O.A.D.‘s NOISECORE MONTH!!

4 releases, 5 bands from the golden era 1987-1994, zillions of tracks! Here’s what our deadly cauldron for December consist of: SORE THROATWho killed Gumby?” LP – for the first time on vinyl, the first ever recording (1987) of these UK cider noise champions, enriched by a full live set as bonus, CRIPPLE BASTARDS1991: complete demo sessions + unreleased tracks” LP – the title explains it all, CB 30 years ago at the peak of their abominable Noisecore phase… 444 tracks (!!), W.B.I. / TUMORSplit” LP – unreleased, lost and found recordings (1992-1994) from both, two of Germany’s most ferocious and representative Noise/Grind sickos of that time and ATROFIA CEREBRALMatanza extrema” LP – their cult Demo 1989 for the first time on vinyl… catastrophic and hopeless Peruvian Noisecore, light years away from any sense of harmony or musical structure. So to sum it all up: SORE THROATWho killed Gumby?” LP, CRIPPLE BASTARDS1991: complete demo sessions + unreleased tracks” LP, W.B.I. / TUMORSplit” LP and ATROFIA CEREBRALMatanza extrema” LP are all available on preorder at www.scareystore.com  Some of these are very limited so we strongly suggest you to act fast, especially if you don’t want to miss the diehard versions on colored vinyl! The official release date for these has been set to December 20th, anyway we’ll try to be as quick as possible to ship everything before the Xmas chaos breaks in.

More in detail about each release:

No further introductions needed for UK’s generators of the most disturbing, sarcastic and booze-fueled Noise/Punk disgrace ever conceived on this planet!
