As you might have expected, July on F.O.A.D. Records equals total ear-deafening grind/noise! It’s the month of the Obscene Extreme Festival and our releases are designed especially for this fantastic event, which we have been attending since the very first edition and which has always seen the massive F.O.A.D. booth soaring in the special area dedicated to all extreme distros and labels. For this month we have outdone ourselves again, preparing no less than 5 releases that will delight any maniac of the most annihilating and disgusting sounds.  First and foremost we have the colossal anthology collection of the Swiss masters FEAR OF GOD, which for a number of reasons has been in the works for a good 15 years (!!)… a mammoth work that collects all their existing recordings + a DVD with 6 shows filmed at the time, all packaged inside a hard cover book, of the same deluxe format we adopted for DISCHARGE “Noise not music”.  Next to such an important milestone in the history of anti-music, we thought of adding two more chapters to our effort in reissuing the entire discography of Sweden’s legendary gore-grinders REGURGITATE… it’s the turn of “Sickening bliss” and “Deviant”.And to draw from the current grindcore scene – you will also find the newest album by our Japanese friends KANDARIVAS, a true bulldozer of blasting grind/deathcore with their unique imprint drawing from traditional taiko sounds and their attachment to the legendary Kanda shrine in Tokyo.  Finally, by popular demand-we also add a new pressing of DISHARMONIC ORCHESTRA’s “Repulsive overtones? 1988-1989” Gatefeld 2xLP+CD (with different cover and booklet colors than the first edition), these Austrian death/grind pioneers will perform on the OEF stage, make sure to check them out!

So, to recap – this grinding July on F.O.A.D. Records consists of: FEAR OF GOD “All your fears” Book + 3xCD + DVD set, REGURGITATE “Sickening bliss” LP/MC and “Deviant LP/MC, KANDARIVAS ”Rhythms of obliteration“ LP, DISHARMONIC ORCHESTRA ”Repulsive overtones? 1988-1989″ Gatefeld 2xLP+CD (2nd pressing)… all 5 are available for pre-order via www.scareystore.com  As always we have also come up with limited bundles for those who want to grab these new releases all together at a discounted price, and a bundle with 5x REGURGITATE tapes. Usual recommendations: hurry up if you want to secure the splatter-colored diehard versions and don’t bombard us with requests like order substitutions, address changes, etc..  Of course if you are planning to come to Obscene Extreme Festival you can contact us to reserve and pick up titles directly at the F.O.A.D. booth, and even if you don’t want to book anything we are very pleased if you stop by and visit us!

And now, here are the detailed descriptions of this month’s 5x hell-blasting nightmares:

FEAR OF GOD “All your fears” Book + 3xCD + DVD set (F.O.A.D. 240)

REGURGITATE “Sickening bliss” LP / MC (F.O.A.D. 349)

“Sickening bliss” is the final album by Regurgitate, released in 2006, now finally back on vinyl and for the first time ever also on cassette tape! 26 tracks of bludgeoning bowel-erupting insanity… Sounding like the perfect compendium of their whole career, this album is a gory stream of awesome riffing, laid over belligerent drums and topped by ominous ghoulish vocals. This is goregrind as it should be! No room to breathe, just plain, unadulterated and inhuman brutality!! LP with printed inner sleeve. MC with two sided Jcard and pro-printed tape (black print on bone white shell).

REGURGITATE “Deviant” gatefold LP / MC (F.O.A.D. 348)

Originally released in 2003 by Relapse Records, “Deviant” is a monolith of 27 boneshaking grinding shots, delivered with Regurgitate’s trademark merciless brutality. Incorporating a touch of Swedish ultracore, Regurgitate made their riffs tighter and vocals focused primarily on raw screams rather than gurgling growls. The result is an album that sounds 100% Regurgitate while coming out fresh and renewed, supported by the impeccable production of Soundlab’s mastermind Mieszko Talarczyk (RIP). Memorable, fast and inspired, “Deviant” is a 32 minute splatter feast that will leave you asking for more… blood!! LP housed in a super-thick gatefold sleeve. MC with two sided Jcard and pro-printed tape (white print on marbled black shell).

Enhanced by a surprisingly powerful production, “Rhythms of obliteration” reaches the peak of Kandarivas with a high-impact sound that does justice to the uinqueness of a band that shatters all aural boundaries. After several EPs and splits, KANDARIVAS with this debut full length keep on their patch marching at their own insane (blast) beat, unleashing another obliterating storm of fury and creativity!!  2nd pressing

New pressing with different colors on the artwork-layout.  Housed in a thick gatefold jacket including bonus CD and full colored booklet…
The most exhaustive collection of early grinding works from this Austrian extreme metal legend! The roots of DISHARMONIC ORCHESTRA, everything they recorded before their classic debut album “Expositionsprophylaxe”.
43 songs – over 100 minutes of music compiling the following works:
– Split LP with Pungent Stench (1989)
– “Successive substitution” 7″ (1989)
– “Requiem for the forest” Demo (1988)
– “The unequalled visual response mechanism” Demo (1988)
– Rehearsal/Demo 1988
– bonus private rehearsal 1988 (totally unreleased!)
Grindcore inspired death metal in their own highly original style, blending angular, dissonant riffs with a unique rhythmic approach. From the very early demos and rehearsals showing the early steps in their inclination to channel heavy, lilting sounds in a deadly blender of hardcore edginess to the bone-crushing split LP and 1st EP recordings perfectly fitting the late ’80s Nuclear Blast death/grind panorama with cult bands such as Righteous Pigs, Defecation, Atrocity, Disastrous Murmur and Pungent Stench…  Ripped from the band’s archival sources and remastered at Toxic Basement Studio for the most deafening sonic impact.

After two months entirely dedicated to Metal in its variety of forms, going from the death-tinged assault of Expulsion, Crematorium and Crucifixion, to the thrash artillery of Morbid Scream and Death Militia to the most classic metal of Death SS, it’s time to turn the page pushing to the limits of extremity and return to a well-tested FOAD ground, with a month all focused on the most nihilistic and brutal grind/noisecore. For some it’ll be a surprise to see that on this round we have 3 new albums of current times: as previously explained, after all F.O.A.D. is not a reissue-only label, it was simply founded with the formula of releasing whatever we like, so the doors are also open to more recent bands and contemporary recordings. That said, our roster for this month consists of a band already well known to those familiar with our history: SORE THROAT, of which we are honored to introduce the new “Starving wolves stand & fight” 12″ and an expanded reissue of their classic “Never mind the napalm” LP, then we have KANDARIVAS from Japan and their “Blood surgical death” LP, combining elements of the most furious grindcore with experimental/tribal parts inspired by the tradition of their area, then it’s the turn of PUTREFACTION SETS IN and their debut ripper “Repugnant inception of decomposing paroxysm”, a new spearhead in the international gore grind scene – with members of Regurgitate, General Surgery, Lymphatic Phlegm, Expurgo etc and at least but not last another classic unit with a long history of releases on FOAD: FEAR OF GOD and their legendary 21 song EP (1988) for the first time on cassette tape.

So to sum it all up: SORE THROAT “Starving wolves stand & fight” LP and “Never mind the napalm” LP, KANDARIVAS “Blood surgical death” LP , PUTREFACTION SETS IN “Repugnant inception of decomposing paroxysm” LP and FEAR OF GOD “s/t 21 songs EP” Tape are all available for preorder. As usual we strongly recommend to act fast if you don’t want to miss out on the limited colored vinyl versions, they will surely finish quickly. And to top it off, we will have a preview of these new titles at the Record Planet Mega Record Fair at the Brabanthallen in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands on November 12th & 13th, so if you’re planning to visit the fair you can pick them up there, come to visit us at stall nr 128 in the Metal/Punk area.
