Straight to the point and very concise, as we are already hard at work preparing sonic crimes for next month (which is going to be a jaw-wrenching affair!), here we are even ahead of our schedule, pleased to announce that June’s 4x F.O.A.D. releases are ready, all pre-orders shipped, all tracking numbers sent and all our distributors served in record time!!  As we had anticipated, this month is all about US old school hardcore, predominantly featuring bands from the 80’s, at first glance quite obscure and unknown but with members that over time will join iconic acts that built the history of various scenes and genres… among all Jimmy Bower (EYEHATEGOD, DOWN, SUPERJOINT RITUAL, CROWBAR) and VOLENT COERCION who are pretty much those who created the roots for NEUROSIS on their debut album “Pain of mind”!!! So to sum up: VIOLENT COERCION “Demos 1984-1985” LP, BLATANT FRUSTRATION “No refuge – Demo 1986” LP, NEGLECTED / POSITIVE OUTLOOK Split LP and DEATHTOLL “Lost session ’06” LP are all out NOW on F.O.A.D. Records!

We have decided to keep available for a few more days the limited bundle that includes all 4x diehard editions of these titles at a discounted price, it won’t last much longer so act fast!  And.. what can you expect for next month?  July = Obscene Extreme, so grindcore, gore, noise/grind… an overdose of sonic slaughter of the most criminal and ruthless kind!  There will be 5 releases, with true classics in radical extremism and annihilation, from goregrind to pure grind to an absolute legend in pioneering noisecore, with a boxset 15 years in the making, can you believe it?  Be on the lookout!

Raging fast New Orleans Hardcore featuring a young Jimmy Bower (EYEHATEGOD, DOWN, CROWBAR, SUPERJOINT RITUAL etc..) on drums! Official reissue of their extremely rare “No refuge” 1986 demo with 2 bonus tracks, sourced from the band’s archival tapes. Punishing raw 80’s hardcore with a metallic touch, reminescent of D.R.I., Neos and Gang Green blended with early Corrosion Of Conformity!  Comes with insert including photos, flyers, scans of the original tape and a band interview.

Two classic West Coast hardcore demos for the first time on vinyl… NEGLECTED “Final solution” demo 1988 and POSITIVE OUTLOOK “No more war!” demo 1987. Both bands had members in common, basically Positive Outlook after a few changes became Neglected, and among the ranks they had Eric from ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT, DEFACE and VIOLENT COERCION!
21 SONGS, all recorded in Berkeley, California. The true energy of 80’s US hardcore, able to combine a furious, fast-paced approach with early thrash/crossover influences. Recommended to fans of ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT, D.R.I., VERBAL ABUSE and FINAL CONFLICT!  Includes full color 16 page book with rare photos, flyers and scans of the original demotapes.

After a truly successful month all about the most irreverent and mindblowing 80s thrash/speed metal, we completely change course to move into another territory, for a new thematic month in pure F.O.A.D. style! This time our focus shifts to American hardcore – predominantly still centered on the 80s, with 4 x amazing bands. Common denominator of this chapter, besides the genre, lies in the fact that these acts had members who over time have played in bands of wide international fame… Just think of VIOLENT COERCION, who are basically a good part of the NEUROSIS’ “Pain of mind” line-up, BLATANT TRUSTRATION with a young Jimmy Bower (EYEHATEGOD, DOWN, CROWBAR, SUPERJOINT RITUAL etc..) on drums, or DEATHTOLL, comprising ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT’s line-up before reforming to record “No Way Back”, plus in no particular order people who played in DEFACE, D.R.I., TEENAGE WARNING and so on.  In short, we’re talking about primordial or lesser-known all-star bands from the heyday of the US hardcore scene… bands somehow passed off the radar but that in our opinion deserved to be brought into the spotlight with proper quality reissues, because the HC they delivered was fast, rageful and at adrenaline levels on par with the other much more popular giants some of them played in.
